The iGuide® was introduced to plastic surgeons in Rome and London. In Rome, Dr. Mueller addressed four separate surgeon groups and performed two iGuide Neck Refinement procedures as part of the training program. In the London area, over 50 plastic surgeons from the UK and Europe participated in a complete day of surgery and didactics. This includes four live surgeries, featuring an introduction and review of the Trampoline Platysmaplasty, and the Neck Defining Suture, as well as the short scar facelift. The iGuide technology, patient selection, procedure, expectations, outcomes and complications, and results were also presented. Graphs illustrated a 50% reduction in operation-room times, and a 50% reduction in patients requiring twilight or general anesthesia. Despite the recession, the number of patients having a face procedure since iGuide’s introduction has steadily increased since October 2007. This practice did not experience the 15% drop in the numbers of patients undergoing facelifts in the United States during 2009 as reported by ASAPS. Lastly, many surgeons around Europe see the potential benefits of using the system for other applications, such as: - A vertical Trampoline Matrix that would smooth the vertically oriented platysma bands, that are present along the front of the neck To read more on the iGuide presence in UK, click here: Trampoline Lift: A New Procedure |
